The European Commission has launched an investigation into developer payments, stating that Apple’s AppStore operation may not comply with the new EU digital competition rules.

DEVELOPMENTS FROM PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS REGARDING TECHNOLOGY AND SUSTAINABILITY

The Directorate of Communications, published the 130, 131 and 132nd issues of the Disinformation Bulletin. Accordingly, the Constitutional Court revoked President Erdoğan’s powers to appoint the Central Bank Governor and rectors, and the claims that relatives can be removed from kinship via e-Government do not reflect the truth.
The Competition Authority suspended Google’s timed fine in the Local Search Services Investigation and announced that Google was fined a total of 482 million ₺ for the period it did not fulfill the injunction recommendations in terms of hotel queries.
The General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly adopted the Draft Law on the Amendment of the Capital Markets Law, also known as the Crypto Asset Draft Law, on June 26, 2024, and it is expected to be published in the Official Gazette.
