HIGH COURT DECISIONS
The Turkish Constitutional Court (“the Court”) has deemed the provision of administrative fines imposed by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation for non-compliance with measures related to unmanned aerial vehicles, as regulated by article 144 of the Law on Turkish Civil Aviation No. 2920, contrary to the principles of legality in crime and punishment. The Court decided to annul the said regulation, effective within 9 months from the publication date of the decision, which is 19.01.2024. (P:2023/129, D:2023/206)
PERSONAL DATA BREACH NOTIFICATION
A company that produces and sells cosmetic products namely, Dirk Rossman, reported a personal data breach to the Board occurred through the interception of the website panel password managed by a third company; the categories of personal data affected by the breach and affected groups of individuals have not yet been identified and the number of affected individuals is still being investigated.
