It has been announced that bids have been received from international companies for 5-millimeter chips used in the calibration measurements of electronic, optical, and electro-optical devices to be produced in Türkiye.
TikTok announced that elections will take place in more than 50 countries in 2024, and measures have been taken against unwanted situations such as misinformation and AI-generated manipulative news during these processes.

DEVELOPMENTS FROM PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS REGARDING TECHNOLOGY

TUBITAK announced that the Turksat 6A satellite project, which is expected to be launched on 2024 June, has entered the final phase, and is expected to serve approximately 5 billion people after the launch.
Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Kacır, announced that a Space Technology Development Zone will be established in Ankara under the National Space Program to develop the space industry.

The proposal for Sweden’s acceptance as the 32nd member of NATO, approved by
the Turkish Grand National Assembly, has been sent to President Erdoğan for signing.
